Prime Minister Youth Program (PMYP) Chairman Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan has said that young people will represent Pakistan in every field of life as per the vision of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, as the government is engaging youth in various activities throughout the country.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony of the Prime Minister’s Women Boxing Talent Hunt Youth Sports League and the All Pakistan HEC Intervarsity Women Football Championship in the Punjab University’s Quaid-e-Azam Campus in Lahore, he said that both Shehbaz Sharif and Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz were doing excellent work to put Pakistan on the path of development under the leadership of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Punjab University and the Higher Education Commission joined hands to organize the colorful event. Speaking on the occasion, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan told the young audience that Vice Chancellor of Punjab University Prof Dr Muhammad Ali and university’s Sports Director Dr Shabbir Sarwar deserve a lot of praise for promoting sports in the university.
Prof Dr Muhammad Ali said that along with education, other activities were also necessary in universities. He said that sports give students courage to learn discipline with health and fitness and move forward. He said that there is no shortage of resources in Pakistan, so there is no need for the youth to despair. He said that by increasing the skills of the students, they will be able to avoid having to go out to find employment.

Higher Education Commission Sports & Cocurricular Division Director Javed Ali Memon said that the Higher Education Commission will continue to play its role in developing cricket, football, boxing, hockey and other sports in all the universities of the country. “Our young people will receive more and more opportunities to compete with the world,” he said.
Dr Shabbir Sarwar said that the Punjab University has always played a vital role in promoting sports. He thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Dr Mukhtar Ahmed, Dr Zia Al-Qayyum and Javed Ali Memon for the award of the Women Boxing Talent Hunt to the university.
Besides the Punjab University, teams from the Government College University of Lahore, the University of Management & Technology (UMT), the Superior University, the University of Lahore, and other higher educational institutions are participating in the event.
