Numan Haider, a renowned Qawwal, Sufi singer, songwriter, and music director from Pakistan, will be in Canada where he along with his team will engage music lovers in six different destinations, including Toronto, Ottawa and Calgary, with his soulful voice, the Music Waves International Inc announced in a statement. The multi-talented artist is recognized globally for his impactful contributions to Qawwali and Sufi music.

Numan Haider, who comes from a family sincerely rooted in Qawwali traditions, represents Pakistan worldwide with his soulful vocals and a unique blend of classical tradition and modern expression. This historic lineage – from Ustad Barry Karam Din Khan and Ustad Nazeer Ali Khan known as Dhapai Walay – has shaped Numan Haider into a masterful performer who preserves Qawwali while giving it a fresh, contemporary identity, according to an information shared on his website.

Numan Haider confirmed his upcoming tour to Canada, and said he will perform in already-planned events during mid of September to October. He received all his music lessons from his grandfather – Ustad Nazeer Ali Khan Qawal. He said that Qawwali has captivated hearts of people in South Asia and other continents, as this devotional music has extended popularity for decades. In Qawwali, he also received mentorship from the late Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan through his already-available melodious treasure of timeless music.

Music Waves International Inc founder Waseem Abbas, also the organizer, announced that Numan Haider will perform in different destinations of Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver where music lovers will join the musical events, as a good number of South Asian, and local nationals booked their seats for the upcoming shows. He said that the Qawwal had stage performances at various festivals inside and outside of Pakistan to showcase rich musical heritage. Through his extraordinary singing, he said that Numan Haider has ability to transfer listeners to spiritual dimension.

Following live shows and recorded shows on video-sharing platforms, Numan Haider has developed a devoted audience worldwide. In an interview, he said that he was trying to follow footsteps of his family traditions, besides guidance from the legends. He called Qawwali as well as Sufi singing different things as compared to other music formats. “We have the best singers, especially Qawwals, who know how to deliver music to diverse audience,” Waseem Abbas said, adding that Numan Haider as the best singer, songwriter and music composer was doing a great job with lyrics and compositions.
