Almarah Foundation unveils another house for homeless orphans with best facilities

Almarah Foundation, a leading non-governmental organization with its mission feed the hungry, orphan care, and education, launched fifth project of house for homeless orphans where best facilities are set for children without parents or guardian.

Addressing as chief guest, politician, philanthropist, and singer-songwriter Abrar-ul-Haq said that the Apna Ghar project would bring these children to mainstream and impart them proper education. He appreciated the Almarah Foundation is providing children-friendly environment.

“We are happy that Pakistan is ranked among the list of top countries in the world for generous philanthropy and donations to alleviate sufferings of poor and towards calamity victims for their early rehabilitation,” he told the audience. I am feeling blessed to be part of this noble cause and my all possible support is with Apna Ghar project,” he said.

Renowned business person and social worker Mian Mohsin commended the services of the Almarah Foundation for the Apna Ghar project. “I am surprised to witness children’s attachment with Mehboob Aslam Lilla and his wife that is amazing,” he said, and hoped the charity organization would cater the needs to the unfortunate people, living in the neighborhood.

Almarah Foundation Chairperson Sofia Warraich called upon philanthropists to come forward and support charities which would pay dividends in future in the shape of better Pakistan. “There is a strong culture of philanthropy in Pakistan where individuals chose to donate financial resources for fellow humans and causes that needed support.

In his closing remarks, senior police officer Mehboob Aslam Lilla thanked the participants and supporters of the Almarah Foundation that is established on the vision of the late Rasheed Warraich – a retired army officer who was known for his philanthropist mission.

Both Mehboob Aslam Lilla and Sofia Warraich are still working on the foundation by providing food to needy people on daily routine. Sri Lanka’s Honorary Consul General Yasin Joiya, cyber laws expert Zain Ali Qureshi, social activist Shahzad Roshan Gillani, journalists Asif Affan, Mian Abid, Raza Muhammad, Azhar Thiraj and Bilal Attari, Qamar uz Zaman, Dilawar Shah, and others joined the event.
